Ultra liberal Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has made it very clear that protecting our country from foreign invaders, terrorists, etc is not so high on her priorities …
She has already been vocal in the past about her stance on defunding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), but now she’s insisting that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) be defunded.
According to the Gateway Pundit, “The Somalian lawmaker also referred to President Donald Trump as ‘individual 1,’ referring to the Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.”
The Minnesota Representative wrote in a tweet, “When Democrats stood our ground last month, we proved that Individual 1 does not have the public support to ram his hateful wall through Congress. Let’s stand firm: #Not1Dollar for DHS.”

Ilhan’s tweet kind of backfired on her as she received around 3,500 comments, but only 1,900 likes shortly after it was posted.
The Democratic Minnesota Congresswoman actually made excuses to support a 2013 terrorist attack, which killed 71 people and left more than 200 wounded. She called the attack “a reaction” to “our involvement in other people’s affairs.”
Take a look:
Here’s another kicker. Omar requested as a Minnesota state representative that a judge to “show leniency” to men who were caught trying to join the dangerous terrorist group, ISIS.
The Minnesota representative wrote in a letter to the judge, “The best deterrent to fanaticism is a system of compassion. We must alter our attitude and approach; if we truly want to effect change, we should refocus our efforts on inclusion and rehabilitation.”
The Gateway Pundit reports that one of the men that Omar had requested the judge show compassion for actually stated, “I was not going there to pass out medical kits or food. I was going strictly to fight and kill on behalf of the Islamic State.”
Anyone who is looking to defund vital departments that are meant to protect our country and our citizens clearly doesn’t have the best interest of our country at heart.
